James brings more than four decades of experience in advanced tax, estate, and succession planning to Consulting Haus.

 

A retired senior tax partner at Deloitte, James was one of the firm’s leading private company practitioners, advising high-net-worth clients and major private enterprises across Canada. His leadership roles included Managing Partner of Deloitte’s Alberta Private Company Services practice, National Leader of Private Company Tax, and member of the National Tax Executive Committee.

 

Today, James continues to support business owners, shareholders, and families with sophisticated planning strategies, with particular expertise in life insurance, corporate structuring, and estate preservation.

Alongside his technical practice, James has spent years studying human behaviour and influence, advising major financial institutions and corporations on building high-performing, relationship-driven cultures.

 

He is also deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of leaders, working closely with professionals in their twenties to forties to strengthen communication, leadership, and personal effectiveness through long-term, one-on-one guidance.
